| Bio: | My name is J.M. Leotti and I’ve worked as an artist my entire life. After studying with fine artists Mr. and Mrs. H.R. Stevenson, pastel artist Daniel Greene, and illustrator Joseph Smith, I began my career painting portraits and book and magazine illustrations. Finding that, every time I painted someone’s child or spouse, I had the urge to give them pointy ears and wings, I decided I preferred painting fantasy subjects. In 2003 I created greeting cards from some of my original watercolors and began selling them on the internet. I recently developed a love of sculpting, and sculpt faery and mermaid dolls, which I sell privately and on eBay. My dollhouse dolls were featured in the October 2006 issue of American Miniaturist. I've also published my Traditional Santa doll in Dollhouse Miniatures Magazine, and my doll Christmas Angel was published in Contemporary Doll Collector. All of my dolls are one of a kind and sculpted out of polymer clay. I also love painting in acrylics, and I've had several of my fantasy images licensed for cross-stitch patterns by Heaven and Earth Designs. If you would like to see them, please visit my web site!
